On Tuesday February 24th Kelly and Cara attended an informational Clinic at NEO in Miami OK. It was very educational. They went over halter, western pleasure, and western horsemanship. NEO will be having another clinic on hunter under saddle and hunt seat equitation with an emphasis on reasons. It will be held on March 1oth.
On Thursday February 26th the horse judging team met for a meeting and discussed the Buckner contest and NEO clinic. We then judged two classes one halter and one western pleasure. The juniors gave reasons on Halter and the Seniors gave reasons on both classes. We also discussed contest attire which will be a western shirt and jeans with a belt. Our next meeting will be at the Greenstreets March 3rd at 4:30. We will be judging two halter classes with Sara Garr's assistance.

Home Meeting
Discussing a western pleasure class.
Learning new terms through osmosis!
The Horse Judging Team met Tuesday February 3rd at the Clow's. They watched a video on how to evaluate western pleasure gaits, then discussed a western pleasure class. We had 7 members in attendance. The assignment was to write up two sets of halter reasons, mares and geldings, and have one memorized for the next meeting (Feb. 10). The other set should be prepared so we can talk about the layout. Members need to decide on the class age and reasons why. Call Kelly if you have any questions. # 417-667-6063
